On Tuesday 12th June the Rotary Club of Kirkcaldy hosted a ‘Kids Out’ day at Cluny Activity Centre, ‘Kids Out’ is a national Rotary initiative that provides a fun day out for disadvantaged children. One hundred children and sixty carers attended the event at Cluny, schools present included Balwearie High School, Valley Primary, Rosslyn, and St. Andrews High.
The Children had an action packed morning with a range of activities including archery, shooting and golf, as well as full access to the adventure playground where the bouncy pillow was a big hit. During the morning there was also a falconry display with among other birds a very inquisitive Caracara which entertained everyone as it picked its way through the audience.
Following the entertainment everyone congregated in the sports hall for a barbeque lunch. The day was a great success and not only do the Children enjoy the activities and social occasion, but it is as much benefit to the Carers who really enjoy the chance to meet up and socialise with others.
