The late David Urquhart was an honorary member of Rotary in Forres and a major supporter of events in the Forres community, including Piping At Forres. He left a bequest to benefit young people.
Specifically, awards of up to £250 per person can be made to support 17 to 20-year-olds who wish to participate in a project in a developing country. There is a maximum of one request per individual.
Rotary Forres administer the fund and the amount of an award, and whether an award is made at all, is based on the merits of the application and its adherence to the criteria set out in the bequest.
Applications can be made at any time.
